Maintenance Parts Coordinator

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is seeking a full-time Maintenance and Parts Coordinator.  This position will primarily be responsible for ensuring that critical spare parts are kept at correct inventory levels, parts organization, and incoming receiving.  The schedule for this position is M-F, 6am – 2pm.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within an industrial environment as a maintenance or parts person. Experience with extrusion equipment and forklift a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, pumping systems, and air compressors.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Ability to provide personal hand tools.
  • Computer skills: SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to clearly communicate, keep organized records, and multi-task.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Timely ordering of maintenance material for the plant operations.
  • Develop list of key equipment and supplies needed over time.
  • Ensure min/max levels of needed supplies are on hand.
  • Maintain receiving area.
    • Review parts delivered, match up with packing slips and PO, hand off to office staff for receiving in SAP.
  • Support plant management in project coordination.
  • Coordinate 5S/organization of maintenance area, parts storage, and warehouse with maintenance team.
  • Represent Charlotte Pipe to our vendor community in a respectful manner.
  • Establish relationship with contacts at key vendors.
  • Schedule contractors for on-site work and ensure plant management is aware of schedules.
  • Document monthly forklift hours.
  • Schedule forklift maintenance with Lift Truck Supply.
  • Coordinate parts to be sent out for repair. Track those parts out and follow up if not received as scheduled.
  • Attend maintenance meetings to document needs and provide updates on parts.
