Payroll Business Analyst
DESCRIPTION: The analyst is responsible for all functions of SAP Payroll Processing as well as Payroll/Benefit reporting, data analysis, General Ledger account analysis, Payroll Processing troubleshooting, Payroll/Benefit configuration and testing of Configuration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and communicate with Payroll/HR teams company-wide
- Maintain positive and helpful working relationships with co-workers and other business partners throughout the company
- Go to person to answer questions concerning Payroll and/or Benefits processes for colleagues, internal and external auditors
- Back up to Payroll Specialists for weekly, monthly and special payroll cycle processing
- Assist in resolving payroll processing issues with the payroll team
- Assist with benefit invoices as needed and reconcile issues with vendors
- Resolve EDI file issues with vendors
- Analyze and compare payroll, benefit, and general ledger cost data
- Create reporting as requested by business partners, auditors, and vendors as needed
- Maintain and update as needed Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery documentation – participate as team member of annual BC/DR simulation
- Review and test any payroll authorization requests to ensure authorization specifications are accurate and confidentiality restrictions are maintained
- Testing of SAP system updates (LCPS, BSI TUBS, OSS Notes, Payroll/Benefit configuration) before application to our Production system
- Update SAP with annual Payroll/Benefit configuration updates
- Team member on implementation projects
- Document payroll processes in script format and train co-workers on payroll processes
- Look for and identify continuous process improvement opportunities
- Assist with Open Enrollment for Benefits
- Process month-end journal entries
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn SAP functionality and SuccessFactors functionality
- Proficient in SAP Payroll and Benefits functionality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products with heavy emphasis on Excel
