Accounts Payable Clerk
Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of cast iron and PVC pipe and fittings. Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting functions related to the accurate and timely processing of invoices within the Accounts Payable system. This role manages monthly recurring expenses and communicates with vendors and internal associates to ensure proper payment, documentation, and posting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Process indirect Accounts Payable vouchers.
- Track and reconcile monthly expenses.
- Ensure invoices are received, reviewed, and entered in a timely manner.
- Verify invoice accuracy and obtain required approvals.
- Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and accounting periods.
- Manage monthly utility and recurring business unit expenses.
- Set up and manage new vendor accounts.
Job Requirements

- Associate’s degree or minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with AP team members, vendors, and management.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
