Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Purpose
The Human Resources (HR) Manager provides leadership and direction for HR functions at the Plastics Division, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, values, and business objectives. This role oversees policies, and processes while acting as a trusted advisor to management. The HR Manager is responsible for driving associate engagement, ensuring compliance, developing talent, and supporting the company’s continued growth.

- Reports to the Director of Human Resources
- Partners with plant leadership and corporate officers
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight
- Manage, mentor, and develop HR team members to ensure effective delivery of HR services.
- Employee Relations & Compliance
- Lead employee relations investigations and provide guidance to leaders on performance, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, etc.).
- Support the company in HR-related audits, or investigations.
- Talent Acquisition & Development
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Partner with management on workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Benefits & HRIS
- Oversee benefit administration, wellness initiatives, and open enrollment.
- Leverage HR systems to track, report, and analyze workforce metrics (turnover, absenteeism, performance).
- Culture & Engagement
- Champion servant leadership, respect for associates, and CPF’s cultural values.
- Support initiatives that drive associate engagement, recognition, and workplace safety.
- Provide coaching and training to leaders on communication, leadership, and associate relations.
- Policy & Strategy
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Advise management on HR trends, legislation, and best practices.
- Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Other Responsibilities
- Lead or support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years progressive HR experience and preferred 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, recruiting, and compliance.
- Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with SuccessFactors and SAP a plus
