PL Mixing Plt Hlp/Material Handler

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, located in Monroe, NC, is looking for a Mixing Material Handler.   Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications.  Investment in the latest tooling and machinery make it possible for us to meet increasing demand for our products and to provide the highest quality pipe and fittings in the industry. 

Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The Mixing Material Handler will assist with unloading of bulk truck deliveries, railcars, and make routine silo checks. Keep general work area clean both inside and outside building.

 

Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate forklift and sweeper.
  • Oversee bulk truck unloading, unload rail cars, operate
  • shuttle wagon, move and assist rail cars.
  • Make routine silo checks and unload rail cars.
  • Relieve operators for breaks and lunch.
  • Operate gram scale.
  • Keep general work areas clean and up to 5S Housekeeping & Safety
  • Standards. (Both inside and outside.)
  • Help train new helper/material handler.
  • Help out in other departments when needed.
  • Participate in inventory.
  • Maintain constant state of alertne4ss and ability to safely perform
  • job duties.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the department manager.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift certified.
