Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, located in Monroe, NC, is looking for a shipping associate. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Summary - Each shipping associate is responsible for filling customer orders by operating a forklift or picker to select, count assemble and load materials. Responsible for completing all required paperwork, operating computers, operating wrapping machine and maintaining equipment.
Hours: 2-2-3 Night Shift | 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM
General Job Description:
- Operate forklift or stock picker
- Check orders to ensure accuracy
- Operator stretch wrap machine
- Pull boxes and fill orders
- Transport finished goods between warehouses
- Review and record incoming materials (checking materials vs. packing list, etc.)
- Load and unload trucks
- Understand/troubleshoot convery system and PUID operation
- Load/unload rollback and standard racking
- Operate switcher to move trailers
- Communicate with sales, associates, and carriers
- Product put away
- Complete maintenance vehicle inspection (oil, fluids, belts, tires, etc).
- Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts (including weekends and holidays)
- Ability to work nights
- Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
- Computer and mechanical ability preferred
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Ability to provide personal hand tools
