Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, located in Monroe, NC, is looking for a shipping associate. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications.  Investment in the latest tooling and machinery make it possible for us to meet increasing demand for our products and to provide the highest quality pipe and fittings in the industry.  We offer a safe and productive work environment. Summary - Each shipping associate is responsible for filling customer orders by operating a forklift or picker to select, count assemble and load materials. Responsible for completing all required paperwork, operating computers, operating  wrapping machine and maintaining equipment.

Hours: 2-2-3 Night Shift | 6:00 PM until 6:00 AM 

General Job Description:

• Operate forklift or stock picker
• Check orders to ensure accuracy 
• Operator stretch wrap machine 
• Pull boxes and fill orders
• Transport finished goods between warehouses
• Review and record incoming materials (checking materials vs. packing list, etc.)
• Load and unload trucks 
• Understand/troubleshoot convery system and PUID operation
• Load/unload rollback and standard racking 
• Operate switcher to move trailers
• Communicate with sales, associates, and carriers 
• Product put away 
• Complete maintenance vehicle inspection (oil, fluids, belts, tires, etc). 
• Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts (including weekends and holidays)
• Ability to work nights
• Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
• Computer and mechanical ability preferred
• Excellent safety and attendance record
• Ability to provide personal hand tools
