General Foundry position

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Investment in the latest tooling and machinery makes it possible for us to meet increasing demand for our products and to provide the highest quality pipe and fittings in the industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Grind off any rough edges or burrs on cast iron pipe and fittings
• Inspect cast iron pipe/fittings and sand cores for defects
• Use a metal file to scrape rough edges or burrs off of sand cores
• Water test and bundle cast iron pipe
• Keep work area up to 5S housekeeping standards
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and ability to safely perform all job duties
• Work effectively and efficiently with coworkers
